Jetboots are a new concept in diver propulsion. Their leg-mounted thrusters allow a diver to have the benefits of a scooter and still have full use of both hands. This, along with their extremely light weight due to the use of brushless motors and NiMH batteries, allows divers to bring a scooter on many types of dives where propulsion was previously not an option. There are many recreational and commercial uses for Jetboots, such as underwater photo/video, inspections of large submerged structures (oil rigs, cruise ships, etc.), search and rescue, and hunting, to name a few. |

Consider a photographer going on a live-aboard in the tropics. Jetboots fit in an airline carry-on, making them quite practical to bring along. In the water, Jetboots do not interfere with the use of a camera and vastly increase the distance a photographer can cover. This will greatly improve the chances of seeing rare creatures and getting that perfect shot. Jetboots add a whole new dimension to video as well, since prolonged sweeps over the reef at 2.5-3.5 knots can produce incredible footage.
Made of the highest quality materials, Jetboots have been extensively tested by our dedicated team. For more information on the ideas behind Jetboots, check out our technology section. To see pictures and video of Jetboots in action check out our pictures section. The Jetboots package includes everything you need for effortless and powerful propulsion.
Jetboots are available in three performance levels. The recreational version is aimed at the pleasure diver, and uses bulkier, less powerful brushed motors to keep the price down. It develops up to 30 lbs of thrust.. The commercial version uses brushless motors and develops 40 lbs of thrust. While all versions use a wet pluggable battery connection, in the consumer and commercial versions the thrusters are hard wired into the control box. The military version uses brushless motors, wet pluggable thrusters for modularity, and is the only version compatible with the advanced lithium battery packs.
