                 If you have a tough problem involving compact, high power density electromechanical systems operating in harsh environments, we  can help.  Our President and Chief Engineer, Dr. Ben Mazin, has designed nearly every part of the J-DPS and Armjet systems.  Dr. Mazin received bachelors of science from Yale University in Astronomy & Physics and Mechanical Engineering.  He received a doctorate in Astrophysics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).  He has extensive practical experience, including:

· High density energy storage systems (lead acid, NiMH, Lithium ion and polymer, including chargers and protection circuits)

· Brushless motors, propellers, and nozzles in marine environments

· Intelligent systems, firmware programming, circuit design, PCB layout

· Programming and data analysis in C, matlab, IDL, fortran, mathematica, and others

· Solid modeling and CNC Machining

· Microwave software defined radio systems

· Cryogenics

· Superconductivity and condensed matter physics

 

                 Also available is our Senior Engineer, Joe Asa.  Joe has an engineering degree from Cal Poly.  He is a very experienced in mechanical and electronic systems, having worked on astronomical instrumentation, medical prototypes, and titanium forming machines.  Joe is also a skilled machinist who builds many of our prototypes in his CNC shop.
